February Julep Maven Box
I joined Julep about two or three months ago, and so far have been pretty pleased. But when I logged in this month to choose my box, I was so excited to see two brand new products - and that they would be included in almost every box! So it was only a matter of choosing which polish colors I preferred. Piece of cake, right? Wrong. I loved all of their new shades this month. I almost, ALMOST, chose the upgrade (which includes every single new polish color for a higher price than the normal $19.99/month) but I contained myself. I loved Ingrid, a burnt orange, and Laura, a muted khaki olive green, the most, but of course they didn't come in the same box. So I ended up picking the Bombshell box which included Laura and Ginger, a gorgeous sand holographic, and Ingrid as an add on. I received the box about three days ago, and was happy to see it included a travel sized eyelash curler and two chocolate hearts! So cute! But even happier that the colors were just as pretty in person than they looked online.
I love trying new products, so I was quick to try out the new Oxygen Nail Treatment and Freedom top coat. I was a little disappointed to find out that the Oxygen treatment shouldn't be worn under polish for it to work it's magic (like grow strong, healthy nails) since it meant I'd have to go bare (the horror!) for a few days to see the best results. However, I wore it for a day, and although it wasn't long enough to see results, I was able to see that it makes your nails look AMAZING on its own. It really is "makeup" for your nails, like Julep claims, giving them a super shiny pink sheen. Now I'm actually looking forward to giving my nails a mid-week break. The new Freedom Topcoat is also incredible.. so far. Quick dry? Check! Gel-like finish? Check! Protection from dullness, dings and chips? I'll let you know. I've only had it on for a day, but so far I am loving my reflection in my super shiny nails:)
